Welcome to The Quest and Clash for the Third Shard!
This is a long-running, fairly homebrew campaign in a setting similar to Medieval Europe circa 1200 A.D. It is based around a battle between opposing churches to gain control of the Third Shard
(as detailed in version 3 DM’s guide 2), and is currently in the planning.
The players play as two young, promising templars fresh out of the Church of Pelor
’s Battle Academy. As the GM, I run a tag-along NPC
wizard, who the characters find getting mugged during their first quest to prove their worthiness. However, as the arcane arts are forbidden by the Church, they fall into the first strings of a web that will tie them up and force them to choose between loyalty and justice.
